23rd Lyttelton Scout Group is one of the Scout Groups located in the South Western District of Pretoria at:
209 Retief Ave, Lyttelton Manor, Centurion, Gauteng.

23rd Lytteton Scout Group consists of Cubs (ages 7 to 11 years) and Scouts (ages 11 to 18 years) with aspiration to open Meerkats (ages 5-6 years) however need adult volunteers willing to commit to running programs for this age group (formal SSA training will be provided).

Cubs : Friday afternoons from 17:00 - 18:30
Scouts : Friday evenings from 19:00 - 21:00
▻ Cubs & Scouts follow government school holidays

As a Group we take pride in the proper advancement of the Cubs and Scouts which forms an important part of a functional Cub Pack & Scout Troop in order to attend events, and instill proper discipline.
And most importantly, WE HAVE FUN! 😎

The Aim of 23rd Lytteton and SCOUTS South Africa is to contribute to the development of boys, girls and young adults in achieving their full potentials as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities by:

The Scouting VALUES

23rd Lytteton and SCOUTS South Africa’s value-system is based on Lord Baden Powell’s Scout Principles, Scout Promise and Scout Law. Values such as honestly, loyalty, kindness and respect are inculcated through the Scouting activities within schools and communities.


The Scouting PRINCIPLES

  • Duty to God: Adherence to spiritual principles, loyalty to the religion that expresses them and acceptance of the duties resulting there from.
  • Duty to others: Loyalty to one’s country in harmony with the promotion of local, national and international peace, understanding and co-operation. Participation in the development of society with recognition and respect for the dignity of one’s fellows and for the integrity of the natural world.
  • Duty to self: Responsibility for the development of oneself.
